Nayanthara was born on November 8th, 1984 in Thiruvalla town of Kerala. She was in fact interested to become a Chartered Accountant (CA) and she was not serious about full-fledged acting career.
This sizzling actress in her beginning won the Best Model award in the year 2002. As a result of which she bagged her first Malayalam movie Manassinakkare 2003 opposite Jayaram. That was a big break for her and she gave up her idea of becoming a CA and concentrated in films.

She also performed an item number in Rajnikanth starrer Shivaji in 2007 which topped the music charts for months.
